I have been painting since childhood. The evolution of my painting spans from the figurative to my present work in the Abstract Expressionist tradition.
The main focus of my work deals with large-scale oil and wax medium paintings in which bold gestural strokes interact to define space in an expressionist context. Colors pull apart and invite the viewer’s imagination to see possibilities for multiple solutions.
My paintings are inspired by the dressing table and the conversations that take place during these transformations as well as the reflections in the looking glass. Within the activity of the paint, the viewer can formulate an individual vision of the painted world.
